5.22.08 - 2400

Life isn't perfect, but sometimes SAT scores are: a student from last summer's Advanced SAT Boot Camp just carded a 2400 on the May SAT. I'll get a testimonial from him up here soon so he can let us all know how much (if at all) I played a part in that.

Now, as sexy as it is to brag about a 2400, the vast majority (like, 99.9%) of students will not score that well. I heard from another student who improved his reading score from 590 to 680. His math and writing scores improved as well. Now, that's a significant, realistic improvement. Makes me feel like I know what I'm doing.

Oh yeah, almost forgot: I took the Subject Tests in Literature and Math Level 2. I wanted to make sure I knew exactly what material they are testing and remind myself of what it actually feels like to take one of these tests. I got my scores back today too: 800 on both. I've still got the touch, baby!

03.18.08 - "Ted, you're the MAN!!!"

Outstanding results from the March 2008 exam include a student who scored 2320 after starting with a 1920, a 2210 from an 1860, and many, many goals met.

10.25.07 - Every single one of Tutor Ted's students meets or exceeds his/her goal on SAT

If you think this doesn't make me absolutely giddy, you're wrong. When the calls roll in and everyone tells me how happy they are... well, it's pretty cool. It doesn't happen by accident, though; my students worked their keysters off this fall.

11.5.06 - Five of Tutor Ted's students score 2300+ on October SAT

In a stunning exhibition of brilliance, FIVE of my students hit 2300 or higher (including, no joke, a 2400). Tutor Ted attributes this to something in the water in 1990.

2.13.06 - Tutor Ted aces new SAT

I'm proud to announce that I carded a perfect 2400 on the January '06 SAT, a 10 point improvement from March 2005's disappointing 2390. Unfortunately, since I'm already a college graduate, all I get out of it are bragging rights.
