Any good SAT tutor has a strong grasp of SAT material, but what makes Ted an exceptional SAT tutor is his faculty of relating and communicating. If Ted were to take the SAT today, I'm positive he would score a 2400; but what enabled him to target and eliminate my weaknesses and hone my problem-solving techniques was his ability to explain. Tutor Ted is the best! My two kids, Kurt and Ariel, have very different strengths and weakness in test-taking. I can't imagine any SAT prep that comes even close to Tutor Ted. Ted knows the test better than anyone I've ever met. Year after year he takes the test himself and always gets an 800 on every section. (There is a rumor floating around that he once missed one answer!) He understands exactly what knowledge, skills and "tricks" are required to score high. And he has an uncanny ability to pass these on to students because he is so good relating to high school kids and developing a rapport with them. I don't want to give you the idea that if your child works with Tutor Ted he or she will automatically score a 2400. Test prep involves actually doing some work. Ted gives "homework" and he offers simulated practice tests for groups of his students in real classrooms. These are extremely valuable for demystifying the test taking process. There is no magic formula to getting high SAT scores, but if your child is diligent and is willing to do the work that Ted assigns, chances are good that your kid will score high. I have two children who have worked with Ted. Many of their friends have worked with him as well. I do not know one person among them who has not been totally satisfied with their results. Across the board everyone's scores have been great!!! You can probably tell that I'm a big fan of Tutor Ted. And my kids and their friends think he's great too.
